Dial in speed & power for any material — generate a labeled SVG or LightBurn (.lbrn2) test grid, import into xTool, Glowforge, Ortur or any LightBurn machine, and burn once to find your sweet spot. Free, no sign-in required.
For xTool Creative Space, LaserGRBL, and other software. Set speed & power manually per cell using the axis labels.
Speed, power & mode pre-set per layer — open and run straight away.
LightBurn: Use the .lbrn2 file. Every cell has speed, power, and mode (fill vs cut) pre-configured as its own layer — open it and run straight away. Keep your grid ≤ 30 cells to unlock it.
xTool Creative Space, LaserGRBL, or other software: Use the SVG. Import it, then set speed and power manually for each cell using the axis labels — speed runs across the top, power down the left.
Start with a wide range (e.g. 200–1500 mm/min, 10–90%) to find the ballpark, then narrow in with a tighter grid.
10mm cells work well for most materials. Use 15–20mm for metals where fine detail matters.
Match the Operation selector to your intent — it’s shown in the SVG footer so you always know which file was which.
Add a material label so you can keep test burns organised and refer back to them later.
