Sculpfun S6 Pro

Removes anodized coating revealing bare metal underneath. Works best on black anodized aluminum. Wipe with microfiber cloth after to reveal full detail. Does NOT work on bare (non-anodized) aluminum.

Opaque/cast black acrylic only — clear acrylic passes straight through 450nm diode. The S6 Pro needed 10 passes at 600mm/min vs S6 needing 16, per hobbylasercutters review. Constant power mode. Remove protective paper after cut.

Veg-tan leather only — never chrome-tanned (toxic fumes). Clean dark mark. Power varies by hide thickness — test on scrap first. Keep power moderate to avoid burning through. Dynamic power mode.

Smooth uniform density — good for signs and plaques. Consistent material means predictable results. Slightly higher power than basswood needed. Dynamic power mode.

Community-tested: 200mm/min, 80%, 4 passes gives clean result in ~1.5h. Alternatively: 600mm/min, 70%, 10 passes for less charring in ~1.2h. Air assist upgrade cuts passes by ~1/3. MDF produces heavy fumes — ventilate well.

S6 Pro needs 3 passes where S9 needs 2. Keep power below 90% to avoid overheating the diode. Air assist significantly reduces passes — add it and drop to 2 passes. Constant power mode. Ensure material is flat to the bed.

Good starting point for fill engrave. Bump to 60–65% for darker result. Use dynamic power mode in LightBurn. Forgiving material — grain absorbs consistently. Run a material test grid first.
