Cedar is an aromatic softwood with a distinctive reddish color and straight grain. It engraves with good contrast and produces a pleasant smell during the process.
The natural oils and resins in cedar can cause flare-ups — keep air assist on. Settings vary between Western Red Cedar and Eastern Red Cedar; test first.
