The LaserPecker 4 is a 2W fiber laser engraver and works with LaserPecker. This page lists 39 community-tested settings covering speed, power, passes, air assist, and DPI across a range of materials. Always run a test cut on scrap material first — results vary depending on your material batch, focus, and ambient conditions.
The LaserPecker 4 is a compact, portable fiber laser that can be used handheld or tripod-mounted, making it unique among laser engravers. It marks metals, anodized aluminium, and some plastics directly without any setup beyond pairing via Bluetooth. Designed for on-site marking — personalising tools, trophies, or items too large to fit in a standard laser. Not a production machine, but unmatched for portability.
Chrome plating marks with a subtle contrasting finish. The LP4's portability is its main advantage here — marking chrome-plated hardware on vehicles, machinery, or large equipment in situ without disassembly. Results depend heavily on the chrome thickness.
Coppermark

★★★★★
Copper is reflective and challenging for fiber lasers. At 88% the LP4 can mark copper but results are less consistent than stainless or aluminium. Use the stand for copper — handheld is too unstable for this material. Polished copper may need two passes.
Silver Jewellerymark
Speed2500 mm/minPower40%Passes1DPI300
★★★★★
Sterling silver marks with a subtle dark oxidised finish. The LP4's portability makes it useful for hallmarking and personalising at craft fairs and jewellery exhibitions without needing a fixed studio setup. Always test on scrap silver first.
Gold-Filled Jewellerymark

★★★★★
Gentle marking on gold-filled pieces at low power. Test on a hidden area first — too much power damages the gold layer. The LP4's small spot size makes it suitable for fine jewellery marking. Handheld mode useful for marking rings and bangles in situ at jewellery shows.

★★★★★
Dark oxide mark on carbon steel — great for tool marking, knife blades, and industrial parts. The LP4 is popular with tradespeople who need to mark their tools with names or ID numbers on-site. Permanent marks that survive harsh use.
Coated Stainless Steel Tumblerengrave

★★★★★
Removes powder coat to reveal bare metal. The LP4 can engrave tumblers using its rotary attachment accessory. Slower to set up than a dedicated desktop laser but the portability means you can bring it to events and personalise tumblers on the spot.
Dark mark on brass. The LP4 handles brass well for on-site personalisation of trophies, plaques, and hardware. Mount on the stand for flat items. Handheld mode works for vertical surfaces like door plates and equipment panels.
Titaniummark
Speed1200 mm/minPower65%Passes1DPI300
★★★★★
Colour marking on titanium — gold and bronze tones at 1200mm/min. Slower speed gives warmer colours (gold/bronze), faster gives cooler tones (blue/purple). The LP4's app has a colour marking preset for titanium. Best used on the stand for consistent results.

★★★★★
The LP4 is a handheld fiber laser — set on its stand for stationary marking. Black oxide mark on brushed stainless at 80%. The app controls speed and power via preset profiles. Ideal for marking items too large to fit in a desktop laser. Permanent, dishwasher-safe result.
Portable fiber laser. Black oxidation mark on brushed stainless. Ideal for small items and jewellery personalisation. Compact galvo head gives very sharp detail.
